For nine years, Repticon has been bringing great shows to Central Florida Fairground in Orlando. One of Repticon's original series of shows, the show has continued to grow until it is now one of the premiere shows in the industry and THE show to go to in Orlando. The show currently runs three times a year and has only bigger & better things in store for guests in the future, so stop by Repticon Orlando in 2012 and have some family-friendly reptile fun!

Not only will Critter Encounters have fabulous animals at their table that they have been rescuing lately, but you can also help an animal in need by attending the auction to benefit their rescue, Saturday January 21, at 5:30pm! Inquire at their table at the show for further information.

The LB Reptile Experience

The LB Reptile Experience is a reptile rescue program from Jacksonville that takes over 400 calls a year for both exotic and indigenous reptiles. Returning to Orlando by popular demand, their presentation and seminar will be hands on, as the kids get to touch the animals and hold some of them, as they learn the special stories of these rescued herps from Bob Shumaker. If you like meeting the big reptiles, stop by this presentation and learn more.

Reptile Discovery

Bruce will be giving a presentation on Endangered Crocodilians, with a live animal!

Bruce has recently completed his fourth tour of schools across the US. These tours have now taken him to over 1000 schools in 45 states.
Bruce will be signing copies of his new "Crocodilians of the World" poster

Vet Checks for Your Animals
by Ivan Alfonso, DVM

-Fecal exams done for $10 each on premises.

-Fecal exams done only during show hours (Dr. Alfonso will stop doing fecals 1/2 hour before closing if the demand is high to allow for closing)

-Fecal exams are only to help the owners determine treatment course, not a reason to return reptiles to a vendor.

-Reptiles routinely harbor parasites and the purpose of the fecal exams is not to dicourage purchases but rather treat them promptly.

-Fecal samples must be fresh, no older than 12 hours when possible (in the case of people bringing samples of their pets at home).

-Only reptile/amphibian samples will be processed. No other species will be seen.

-The fecal exam is a fecal float only. No smears will be done on premises. Each fecal float takes approx. 10 minutes to run so time will be limited.

-On Saturday, tests will start at 12:00 PM when Dr. Alfonso arrives at the show. On Sunday it will be from opening time.

-Owners with animals having parasites will be told the parasite present, which medication is recommended for treatment, and where to go for medications (Dr. Alfonso's clinic or any of their choice).

Join Fairytail Dragons as they take you on a magical journey through that most popular of reptile pets, the Bearded Dragon. Learn from them how to best care for these rewarding creatures, and see some exciting specimens live and in person. It is a tail sure to have a happy ending.

Snakes of the Southeast!

Daniel Parker from Sunshine Serpents will be doing a Powerpoint presentation on
Snakes of the Southeast

"Was that a water snake or a cottonmouth? A scarlet king snake or a coral snake? Daniel Parker of Sunshine Serpents and University of Central Florida gives a general overview of the snake species of the southeastern United States with an emphasis on identification, conservation, and venomous snake safety. This presentation will include a colorful powerpoint presentation and live snakes."

Carpet Pythons

Tim Manucy of ByTheShore Reptiles will give a presentation on carpet pythons and other Australian snakes. These unique animals are beautiful snakes that remain somewhat outside of the mainstream herp hobby, and are NOT among Florida's Species of Concern. Stop by this starter seminar of "Carpet Pythons Made Simple" to learn basic information on care, housing, and breeding. You'll also get to see them up close!

Wolf Magic!

Kim from Lost Wolf Rescue will open your hearts and minds to the plight of the wolf, be it a lone wolf or wolf pack. Come meet some of these special animals in a presentation that will teach you how you can help them. It'll be "Wolf Magic."

Albino Alligator with Don Kaye Reptiles

Don Kaye has been currently working with a group of Albino American Alligators and hopes to be producing captive
hatched albinos in the near future. At Orlando on Sunday, you will be able to see these rare animals up close and learn about them in Don's presentation!
